Waiting for Garlic

About-GarlicWas asked to post this today.
We are all looking at the garlic plot and considering what dishes we could use fresh organic garlic in…..many !

In case you are tempted to water the garlic, we have learned that it needs to dry out…..so please don’t water it. The dryer it is the better, the sooner we will enjoy it..

In the mean time…here  are  some links to preparing some flavourful meals with garlic. Thanks Sandy.

  1. Interesting! Makes sense!

Yum! Garlic! Last night I made oven roasted yam and potato wedges (oil, fresh garlic chopped, fresh rosemary and some salt.) On and on it goes in regards to possible uses of garlic!!

While I have been here in Cochrane AB waiting for arrival of another grandbaby I have helped out with some planting of a little garden and pots here. I think Adam killed the cuke plants by over watering and the baby basils are not thriving likely cuz it’s so cold at night.

I am missing the gentleness of the home gardening zone, that’s for sure!!
The howling wind is quite tiring as well as the vastly fluctuating ups and downs in temperature.

Thinking I will be home in a few weeks. Looking very much forward to being back with you all and the garden!
