garden harvest

Harvest time is beginning!    A few notes.  Anything that is on the table in the greenhouse is up for grabs.  Please help yourself.  Also, if you have more produce than you can use, just put it on the table for sharing.   The squash and potatoes are ready to take.  You can harvest those from the communal plots.  Communal plots are anything that isn’t in a boxed plot.   If you’re not sure, please ask.  And do have a taste of the raspberries along the fence.  They are so sweet!

Lets not let the bounty go to waste!

Question – Should we get together for a work day to do some weeding and maybe harvest the potatoes?

Garlic is ready

20180714_164959The community garlic has been drying for a week and is now ready, so all gardeners are invited to help themselves to a head of garlic which is in a bowl in the greenhouse.
Each head can hold 10 cloves (some big ones there) and they can be eaten now or dried for another week or so.
Thanks are owed to Bob Hodgkiss (Keeper of the Garlic) for all his work and dedication in planting, caring for and preparing the allium sativum bulbs.
